An ideal situation
Positioned on the southern slope of the Luberon, our cottages in the countryside are ideally located so that you can shine throughout Provence, from the Mediterranean Sea to the Gorges du Verdon, passing through the largest cities in the region and the perched villages of the Lubéron. Isabelle and Nicolas are natives of the region and they know it perfectly, depending on your desires, they will be able to offer you an itinerary or activities. Ask them for advice before you come to Mas de Château Double.
The region is full of many activities in the great outdoors to do with family, friends, as a couple or alone. We particularly advise you to go horseback riding, on foot or by bike in the vicinity of your charming cottage in the Luberon.
Aix en Provence
In 35 minutes by car, you will be on the famous Cours Mirabeau of Aix-en-Provence. Stop at a café or shop in the shopping and cobbled streets of downtown Aix-en-Provence. Take the time to rest near the Rotonde and taste the famous Calisson.
The Mediterranean Sea
An hour and a half will be enough for you to reach the first beaches of the Mediterranean. Take your towel and set off for a day of relaxation and sunbathing on the fine sandy beaches of the Côte Bleue or Bouches-du-Rhône. From the Mediterranean beaches, you can practice many water activities.
Gorges du Verdon
The Gorges du Verdon are a treasure. You will be charmed by this enchanting landscape between the very special blue of the water and the shades of green of nature. A beautiful hike or a pedalo session can be on the program for your day in the Gorges du Verdon. Do not miss the Lac de Sainte-Croix.
The Alpilles
The Alpilles and the regional natural park of the same name are less than an hour's drive from our gîtes in the Luberon. During your visit to the Alpilles, we advise you to pass through Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, known for having inspired and welcomed Vincent Van Gogh for a year, but also through Les Baux-de-Provence and its Carrières de Lumière.
